Some Frequently Asked Questions about our Accompanied
Cultural Holidays to Central Europe

Why accompanied ?
There is no reason why you cannot make your own arrangements, but usually our hotel rates and the economy of transfers and excursions by coach mean you would probably pay more – not counting the time and cost of making the bookings and confirming all the travel and accommodation. We normally have better tickets too, and there is a lot to be said for congenial travel companions and being with your tour operator who, after all, knows the places you visit, the organisers of the festivals and many of the artists, speaks the language, is aware of local customs and can advise you on food and drink specialities. We are always happy to arrange independent short breaks with or without music in Vienna, Salzburg or Prague.

I will be 80 this year, can I still travel with you ?
Yes, of course. We do not discriminate at all. If you are worried about mobility (at any age) please call to discuss the holiday.

Can I join you on my own ?
Once more, of course. You will find pleasant company. Many enduring friendships are formed.

Do you give daily formal lectures ?
We talk informally in situ wherever possible. At the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt we usually offer introductions to the concerts by Richard Wigmore with musical illustrations and discussion sessions with the conductor, Adam Fischer, and others. On some other tours we are joined by experts in differing musical/cultural aspects who will talk on their speciality.

I don’t live in Britain. Can I still join one of your parties ?
You would be most welcome. We have many regular clients from overseas who book our holidays – either with flights or joining in Europe. We alas cannot offer the travel insurance.

How can I find out more ?
