Booking Conditions
These are
the booking conditions which will apply to your holiday. Please read them
carefully.
Limit of Liability
We
accept responsibility for ensuring that all parts of the tour are supplied as
described. We accept only limited responsibility for the performance of the
services provided by airlines, coaches, hotels and other suppliers.
Cancellation by Habsburg Heritage
In
the unlikely event that we do not reach the minimum number of participants
required to make a tour viable, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In this case there would be a full refund of
all payments made, and notification of cancellation would be at least six weeks
before the date of departure. If
cancellation is necessary on the advice of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office
because of force majeure – war or civil disturbance, cessation of
diplomatic relations, natural or nuclear disaster – we shall refund the portion
of payments made to us that have not been committed irrecoverably by us to the
tour. We also reserve the right to cancel any booking for which full payment
has not been received by the date due.
Changes by Habsburg Heritage
At the time of
publication and confirmation all information has been checked and is correct to
the best of our knowledge. However changes may need to be made for reasons
beyond our control to flight times, hotel, programme, etc. In the event of a substantial alteration you
will be notified and will have the right to withdraw from the holiday and
receive a full refund.
Changes
and extensions by Client
Where made, these may be
subject to a surcharge
Cancellation
by Client
If a customer cancels a booking, the following charges
will be payable depending upon the number of days prior to departure date:
More than 71 days before
departure loss of Deposit
70 to 42 days before departure 40% of Invoice
42 to 8 days before departure 90% of Invoice
Less than 8 days before
departure 100% of Invoice
Your insurance policy may cover you for all or part of these
losses.
Passports
and Visas
British
passport holders should ensure that there is still six months validity. Other passport holders must ensure they have
the necessary visas to enter the countries visited.
Consumer
Protection
The
air holidays and flights overleaf are ATOL protected, since we hold Air Travel
Organiser’s Licence number 5625 granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. In the
unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded
abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance
booking. For further information, visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk.
Government Tax on all Flight Departures
The UK
government tax and foreign taxes in force at the time of booking are included
in the holiday price.
Surcharges
Our costings are based on exchange rates ruling on 31 August 2017. Surcharges may be imposed if costs increase as a result of government action, currency fluctuation or air fares. The first 2% of any increase will be absorbed by Habsburg Heritage. If we need to impose a surcharge in excess of 10% you will have the option of cancelling with a full refund. This right to cancel must be exercised within 14 days of receiving written notification of the surcharge.
Insurance
It is essential you have adequate travel insurance to cover your costs in the event of cancellation, loss or medical emergency. We recommend the insurance offered by Gold Cover (01892 559530) and suggest you mention your booking when enquiring. Before you travel we need details of your insurance and a contact telephone number.
ATOL Compliance
All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. Please see our booking conditions for further information or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate
Your Financial Protection
When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).
If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those
Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.
